Anti-Bullying Week ReadAthon TBR (Nov 16th – Nov 22nd)

Tomorrow (Monday 16th November) marks the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week and I will be participating in the Anti-Bullying Week Readathon, hosted by Sarah Churchill.

“This readathon is in support of Anti Bullying Week 2015, with the aim of starting discussions about bullying and our bid to stand up for those who need it and never be a bystander.”

For those participating, this week will be spent reading books that contain some element of bullying; bullying does not have to be the focus of the book. As someone who has experienced bullying (the effects of which still haunt me years later), this readathon means a great deal to me.

Thus, my TBR is as follows…

1. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee: I started this book a few days ago but haven’t got very far with it; however, I’d love to finish it soon and what better way than for this readathon.

2. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli: This book was recommended as my next library book read by The Quirky Book Nerd (check out her blog!) on my previous blog post. It works out amazingly well for this readathon so yay! \O/

3, 4, 5, 6. Four: A Divergent Story Collection (The Transfer, The Initiate, The Son and The Traitor) by Veronica Roth: I’m going to be cheeky and count these as four short stories instead of one book. However, I am unsure of which short stories contain bullying in them. If I get around to reading all of them, I will only count the ones where bullying appears for this readathon.
